Numerical Aspects of a Continuum Sintering Model Formulated in the Standard Dissipative Framework

Robust and computationally efficient numeric algorithms are required to simulate the sintering process of complex ceramic components by means finite element method. This work focuses on a thermodynamically consistent model capturing effects both, viscosity elasticity, within standard dissipative framework. In particular, temporal integration several implicit first second order accurate one step time methods is discussed. It shown in terms numerical experiments material point level that schemes exhibit poor performance when compared schemes. Further indicate results translate directly simulations.
